Significant water management issues

2015. február 03., kedd 13:59

As per the 6-year planning cycle of catchment management, the water sector is to review the catchment management plans by the end of 2015. Within the preparation phase of the above task, the documents called Significant Water Management Issues (abbreviated as JVK) were prepared in November 2014.

As the name suggests, the documents, beside the general introduction, contain issues that impact the quality and quantity of the surface and subsurface waters and due to the extent they are considered important and significant.

Since the territorial base of the national catchment management planning is the whole country split into 4 partial catchments and 42 planning sub-units; therefore, the documents have been prepared for these (catchment) areas. Based on its territorial involvement, the South-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate prepared the JVK for the ‘Rinya-mente’, the ’Fekete-víz’ and the right bank of ‘Alsó-Duna’ planning sub-units, as well as for the Dráva’s partial catchment. The Directorate also contributed to the compilation of the planning sub-units documents for Lake Balaton , ‘Kapos’  and ‘Sió’.

The compiled documents are discussion papers, which can be commented on for 6 months by any concerned parties. Your comments and opinions linked to

- ‘Rinya-mente’, ‘Fekete-víz’, the right bank of ‘Alsó-Duna’ and the ‘Dráva’s partial catchment’ should reach the South-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate by 30th May 2015 via

 - Lake Balaton, ‘Kapos’ and ‘Sió’ should reach either us on the above contacts or the Central-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate by the above deadline via

- ‘Dráva’s partial catchment’ on ‘Mura’ planning sub-unit should reach the West-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate by the above deadline via
