On the initiative of the Embassy of Denmark, during the discussion taking place at  GDWM,  the Hungarian water experts gave an overview on the tasks of the Hungarian  water  directorates  and institutions, especially on urban water management and risk management.

The guests were especially interested in the Hungarian experience of prevention  of  urban  water damages which is also in the main focus area in Denmark.  Innovative  Danish  solutions  were also presented, and a useful knowledge sharing took place between the Parties.

In 2020, Danish-Hungarian Water Management Day will  provide  further opportunity to enhance the fruitful cooperation.

At  the  end  of  the  meeting, the experts suggested that the professional consultation  should continue next year as well, which could even result in an operative cooperation between water experts of the two counties.
