DALIA project is focused on the Danube River Basin and supporting the new EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2023. As lead partner General Directorate of Water Management coordinates the consortium of 22 partner institutions, whose focus is on good practices in the Danube basin.
The journey of the DALIA project begins with our Kick-off meeting in Budapest! For the next 48 months, 22 partners, and 9 demo sites commit to making the Danube river a more sustainable freshwater source for Europe.
In the project, the various work packages carry out a detailed assessment of good practices, prepare a plan for the replicability of the practices in the associated regions, and seek answers to the question of sustainability of social and economic transitions. Furthermore, communication between projects operating in parallel in the Horizon Lighthouse Mission program and building a knowledge base were aimed at.
The project includes two Hungarian sample areas as best practices, which you can read about in more detail in the continuation of the article.
